| September 23, 2011 | 76 Comments

This November, IndieBizChicks and IndiePublic are partnering to bring you The Virtual Indie Craft Fair. I am going to be giving away (1) vendor spot.

As a vendor, you will receive over $400 worth of advertising. You will receive a 125×125 ad on the sidebars of IndieBizChicks and CleverChicks, a featured blog post on IndieBizChicks, a featured ad spot on IndiePublic, a press release that I will write and distribute for you, and more! I’ll also be doing a daily giveaway of a $10 gift card on each featured vendor blog post. This will insure you get the maximum amount of traffic to your featured blog post – allowing you to show off your product to holiday shoppers!

You can see all the details here.

The price of a vendor spot is $99 – but you can win one for free!

Here is how to enter:

I will choose a winner at random on October 7 at 5pm Eastern.

New camera issues

My christmas in July sale has not been the greatest success, and that's mostly my fault, i wasn't able to list as many new items as promised because i just got a new camera and the file sizes are huge and when i cut down the pics you can barely see the jewelry so i got to figure that issue out.
But at least i'm meeting lots of new crafters on facebook and i've started my own *LINK LOVE* topic in disscusions on my fanpage, so i have a bunch of new fans and have reciprocated the love. Please leave your links on my page, i will share the love. Facebook | LilyKat Designs
I've got tons of new pieces i can't wait to share them with you, i'll figure this picture thing out and get them up asap.

Gone Too Long

I know, I know it's been forever since i posted, sorry, but there's been so much going on, went on vacation to the jersey shore, been taking classes on metal smithing which i now love, and fell in walmart and hurt my back and legs(don't worry i'm ok, just on heavy duty prescription aspirin) so i haven't been at the computer much or at least not for to long each time i am.
I've now got 99 fans on my facebook page almost to the big benchmark of 100, and it's exciting cause a bunch of the people i didn't even invite so i guess they count as "real" fans. So when i hit 100 fans i'll have a big sale or free shipping or something just for fans, i've got to plan it still. so please if you haven't already become a fan and/or invite other people you think would be interested. Thanks, must sleep now very late or should i say early, 6 a.m. lol

Craft Shows

The shows went okay i sold one piece at the first one and nothing at the second one but a bunch of people took my cards and flyers, my pieces are a little too expensive for craft shows so people just browse, but i'm actually charging less then what i put into each one so i can't go any cheaper. I also noticed a lot of people have gimmicks like just doing earring or making jewelry from buttons etc. so maybe i need to find something i can do thats cheap to make, sell, and will draw people in cause its unusual. I did learn that i need to bring my tools with me cause one piece broke and i couldn't fix it. Oh well, i guess it's better luck next time.
