My Business Name
Today i'm contemplating changing my business name. Right now my name is Bijouterie but i think its too hard for people to say or remember so i'm trying to come up with a new one. I thought i might take my cats names and mesh them together so the name is more me and not frou frou like Bijouterie. My cats are called Kitty and Tigerlily but Lily for short, so far i've got just TigerLily Designs, LilKitty Designs, LilyKat Designs, or maybe KyLi Designs. Right now i'm stuck on TigerLily but there's already a jewelry co. named that so i can't keep it. Anyways i could use some help here, any ideas?

thanks for following www.handmade-jewelry-club.com. as for your business name, my opinion is to your own name (maybe a short name) if you are positioning yourself as a designer. just a thought.

I've thought about using my name but it sounds so boring and doesn't flow to well so i wanted to be more creative. I've narrowed it down to LilyKat or KyLi. But thanks for the help, you're comments are always welcomed.
ReplyDeleteI think you are great, building up your own business, when you are disabled. You should be very proud of yourself!! I know what you mean with the photos, it is very hard to take good photos, I read somewhere that you can get good lighting for photos, if you take them with bright sunlight coming through a window, that has a light material covering it, that still lets the light filter through (like muslin or something similar). Also for taking photos outside, early morning light and the last hour of light of the day are called the magic hour, when the light is the best for taking photos. Hope this helps, I have had a lot of problems with my photos, and sometimes they won't turn out good no matter what!! I also lighten my photos on a photography program on my computer, it brings the jewellery out more.

I'll have to try the sunlight thing, i usually take them at night cause thats when i have the time to do them,but i guess i'll have to get up earlier. i just found a program on my computer called iphoto so im trying to use that and also skitch. i've tried photoshop but its just so involved and complicated. thanks for the compliment its definitely challenging, i dont have a classic disability like blindness or loss of use of a limb or something, i have a chronic illness that causes me to be sick and tired all the time and unable to work, so it can take awhile for me to get back to comments or emails or to write a new post, so don't hold it against me if i dont get right back to you. thanks for responding and following me!
